Changzhou Veterinary Vaccine Engineering Technology Research Center was established in 2018 with the approval of Changzhou Science and Technology Bureau, relying on Changzhou Tongtai Biopharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. The Engineering Technology Center is dedicated to the research and development of veterinary vaccines, registration declaration, industrialization transformation, production process and technology improvement and optimization. The total area of the engineering and technical center is 1200 square meters, including all kinds of laboratories, laboratory animal rooms, application test workshops, etc. The equipment and facilities are leading in China, such as fluorescence microscopy, intelligent incubator, gene amplifier, ultraviolet analyzer, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer and other research and development, detection equipment, more than 100 sets; the personnel structure is reasonable, and there are 8 R&D technicians. Among them, there are 2 doctors, 3 masters and 2 undergraduates.
Tongtai Biology is the first company in China to produce inactivated rabies vaccine for veterinary use by using SAD strain of rabies virus and BSR cells with independent intellectual property rights. In 2010, he obtained Veterinary Drug GMP Certificate and Veterinary Drug Production License, and in 2011, he obtained Veterinary Rabies Inactivated Vaccine New Veterinary Drug Certificate and Veterinary Rabies Inactivated Vaccine Production Approval. In 2016, the production of porcine circovirus type 2 inactivated vaccine (SH strain) was approved. The company has two high-tech products in Jiangsu Province, and has undertaken a number of provincial and municipal science and technology projects, such as "Jiangsu International Science and Technology Cooperation Award and Jiangsu Overseas Scientists Development Project" in 2008, and "Veterinary Rabies Inactivated Vaccine (SAD strain) project" in 2011, which has been approved by Jiangsu Science and Technology Achievement Conversion Project.
The establishment of Engineering and Technology Research Center aims at gathering relevant technical personnel, strengthening the research and development of new products, new processes and new detection methods, improving the ability of vaccine creation, accelerating the development and marketing of new vaccines, optimizing industrial structure, improving the innovation and competitiveness of the whole domestic industry, and promoting the rapid development of animal vaccine industry.
